THE STUDY CONFIRMS BLUEBERRIES’ POSITIVE IMPACT ON COGNITIVE AND VASCULAR HEALTH.

A recent 12-week clinical trial by researchers from King’s College London and the University of Reading has shown that consuming a small amount of blueberries in the morning can improve memory and lower blood pressure. The study indicates that the polyphenols in blueberries, specifically the blue pigments known as anthocyanins, play a crucial role in healthy aging and may help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by improving blood vessel function.

A recent study has discovered that consuming a small amount of blueberries in the morning can help improve memory and lower blood pressure.

Researchers from King’s College London and the University of Reading conducted a 12-week clinical trial of blueberry powder on healthy individuals aged 65 to 80.

The results showed that those who consumed 26 grams of freeze-dried wild blueberry powder daily experienced improved memory and an 8.5% improvement in performance on an attention task, as well as lower blood pressure.

The study indicates that polyphenols, specifically the blue pigments known as anthocyanins, found in deep purple fruits such as blueberries, play an important role in healthy aging. This research suggests that a daily intake of wild blueberries may help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by improving blood vessel function.
